SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg is one of the oldest and largest private universities in Germany. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Heidelberg, the university combines innovative teaching methods with personalized student support. The institution is part of the privately operated, state-recognized SRH Holding, one of Germany’s leading education and healthcare providers.
The university offers around 40 practice-oriented degree programs in fields such as computer science, media and design, business, engineering and architecture, social sciences, law, therapy sciences, and psychology. In October 2024, SRH consolidated its five on-campus universities under the SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg brand, now offering programs at 18 locations across Germany. This structure provides students with maximum flexibility, whether they are pursuing full-time studies, part-time programs, or career changes. In addition to SRH University, the SRH network includes SRH Fernhochschule – The Mobile University, EBS University of Business and Law, as well as international institutions such as SRH Haarlem University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands and Universidad Paraguayo-Alemana (UPA) in Paraguay.
