DE The Fachhochschule der Wirtschaft (FHDW) offers a specialised study programme in the fields of business administration and business informatics. It focuses on dual and part-time Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes that enable theory and practice to be closely interlinked. Small study groups, intensive supervision by lecturers and practical phases in partner companies offer students the ideal conditions for a successful academic and professional career. In the dual Bachelor's degree programme, students alternate every three months between theoretical teaching phases at the university and practical placements in companies. The organisation of the part-time Bachelor's degree course is specially tailored to the needs of working people. The part-time Master's programme also offers a sound further qualification on the basis of a Bachelor's degree or diploma and prepares students specifically for management tasks in business or IT-related areas.
Founded in 1993, the FHDW is one of the first private universities of applied sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia. Today, over 2,100 students study at its five campuses in Paderborn, Bergisch Gladbach, Bielefeld, Marburg and Mettmann. With more than 10,000 graduates, a strongly practice-orientated study concept and an international focus, the FHDW offers an excellent academic education in a personal and support-intensive environment.
