The degree equips you with the skills to implement both classical live-action film and innovative motion design formats. The focus is on storytelling, directing, camera, lighting and sound technology as well as post-production and digital visualisation.

• Film theory and dramaturgy: You develop an understanding of narrative structures, cinematic storytelling techniques and design concepts.

How does the degree programme work?

The course is offered full-time over seven semesters (210 ECTS) and starts on 1 October each year. Teaching at SRH University is based on the CORE principle (Competence-Oriented Research and Education): You learn in five-week blocks, work on real assignments and apply different learning and examination formats.

• Practice orientation: You have access to professional studios, workshops, editing suites and up-to-date hardware and software.
• Structure: The first semesters impart basic competences; later on, specialised compulsory electives, project-based work and a practical semester (e.g. through a several-month internship) follow.
• Final phase: In the last year of study, the independent conception and production of final projects as well as the bachelor thesis are the focus.
• Individual support: Small learning groups and personal mentors accompany you – also during joint projects.

The monthly tuition fees are 750 euros for students with EU/EEA citizenship and 4,950 euros per semester for non-EU/EEA citizens. In addition, there is a one-time registration fee (750 euros for EU/EEA, 1,000 euros for non-EU/EEA). The fees remain constant throughout the entire duration of the degree.
