The degree equips you with the skills to implement both classical live-action film and innovative motion design formats. The focus is on storytelling, directing, camera, lighting and sound technology as well as post-production and digital visualisation.
- Film theory and dramaturgy: You develop an understanding of narrative structures, cinematic storytelling techniques and design concepts.

How does the degree programme work?
The course is offered full-time over seven semesters (210 ECTS) and starts on 1 October each year. Teaching at SRH University is based on the CORE principle (Competence-Oriented Research and Education): You learn in five-week blocks, work on real assignments and apply different learning and examination formats.
- Practice orientation: You have access to professional studios, workshops, editing suites and up-to-date hardware and software.
- Structure: The first semesters impart basic competences; later on, specialised compulsory electives, project-based work and a practical semester (e.g. through a several-month internship) follow.
- Final phase: In the last year of study, the independent conception and production of final projects as well as the bachelor thesis are the focus.
- Individual support: Small learning groups and personal mentors accompany you – also during joint projects.
