      Hi,

you can be admitted to study at the SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg,

      - if you have the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), the subject-related higher education entrance qualification (Fachgebundenes Abitur) or the entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife)
      - or if you have at least two years of vocational training and at least three years of work experience plus an aptitude test.
      - and if you have also successfully completed the selection process.

If you come from abroad, you can be admitted, if you can provide SRH with a university entrance qualification in the form of certificates of previous education and sufficient German language skills (DSH or TestDaF examination), and if you have also successfully completed the selection procedure.

Successful participation in the selection process is a prerequisite for admission to the Bachelor of Physical Therapy program. The selection procedure lasts two to three hours. It includes a written, an oral and a practical part of the examination. The written physical therapy-specific assessment addresses logical-practical thinking and queries English language skills. The practical part includes a role play. In addition, there is a motivational interview.

In preparation for your studies, you should complete at least two weeks of internship in the field of nursing and at least one week in the field of physiotherapy.

The goal of the nursing internship is to test for yourself whether working with sick people is right for you. The goal of the physical therapy internship is to give you an insight into your future profession.

The nursing internship is to be completed in two weeks of full-time work in a hospital or nursing home for the elderly, and the physiotherapy internship is to be completed either in a hospital, rehabilitation center or practice. Depending on the activity, a voluntary social year (FSJ) or other employment in appropriate facilities may also be recognized.

The internships must be completed by the beginning of October, i.e. before the start of studies (at the time of application, the internships must not yet have been completed).
