Fresenius University of Applied Sciences: The Fresenius University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest private universities of applied sciences in Germany. In winter semester 2020/2021, a total of 14,910 students were enrolled at the university. The university is headquartered in Idstein, Hesse, and also operates campuses in Cologne, Hamburg, Munich, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Berlin and New York. The university mainly offers degree programmes in the fields of business and natural sciences. In the field of information technology, the university currently offers, among others, a Bachelor's degree in business information technology at the Wiesbaden location as well as a Bachelor's degree in health information technology.

IU International University: With over 100,000 enrolled students, IU is the largest university in Germany. The university is based in Erfurt, but IU also offers its campus study programmes at other locations in Germany as well as via virtual campus. In addition to the campus programmes in business administration and management, among others, the university offers over 100 distance learning programmes as well as a large number of part-time and dual study programmes.

Wilhelm Büchner University of Applied Sciences: The WBH is a private, state-recognised university of applied sciences based in Darmstadt/Hesse. The university was founded as a distance learning university in 1997. In winter semester 2020/2021, a total of 5,429 students were enrolled at WBH. The university focuses on distance learning courses in the fields of technology, industrial engineering and computer science.

Wedel University of Applied Sciences: The FH Wedel is a private, state-recognised university of applied sciences located in Wedel, Schleswig-Holstein. The university was founded in 1948, and in the winter semester 2020/2021 a total of 1,339 students were enrolled at the university. The university mainly offers Bachelor's and Master's degrees in the field of information sciences. In addition to a bachelor's degree in computer science, one can also study Data Science & Artificial Intelligence at the UAS, for example.

AKAD University of Applied Sciences: The AKAD Hochschule Stuttgart is a private, state-recognised university of applied sciences based in Stuttgart. The university was founded in 1959 and focuses on distance learning and certificate courses in the fields of technology, computer science and business administration. In winter semester 2020/2021, a total of 5,532 students were enrolled at the university. In the Department of Computer Science, the university offers a range of distance learning courses, such as a B.Sc. in Computer Science and a B.Sc. in Data Science.

CODE University of Applied Sciences: CODE University is a private, state-recognised university of applied sciences based in Berlin. The university was founded in 2017, and 512 students were already enrolled in WS 2020/2021. The university offers English-language bachelor's degrees in information sciences, such as a B.Sc. in software engineering.

XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences: XU Exponential University of Applied Sciences is a private, state-recognised university of applied sciences located in Potsdam. The university was founded in 2019 and now has around 135 students enrolled. XU describes itself as "Germany­s first university for digital­isation and techno­logic". It currently offers 4 bachelor's degree programmes, such as the Bachelor of Coding and Software Engineering and the Bachelor of Data Science.

Frankfurt School of Finance and Management: The Frankfurt School is a private, state-recognised university located in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse. The university was founded in 1990 and a total of 2,701 students were enrolled at the university in WS 2019/2020. The university is a business school and offers Bachelor's and Master's or MBA programmes in business and IT. Special feature: As a private university, the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management is eligible to award doctorates.
