Founded in 1993 as Cologne Business School in Cologne, CBS has undergone significant transformation since then.
Guided by the motto “Creating Tomorrow,” CBS has always embraced innovation —introducing the American bachelor’s model to Germany and becoming the first German university to receive international IACBE accreditation in 2018. In 2020, it consolidated its campuses in Cologne, Mainz, and Potsdam under the CBS International Business School brand. In 2021, it expanded its portfolio to include dual management study programs.
Since 2025, the study programs of EU|FH in Health, Social Work, and Education have also been integrated under the CBS University of Applied Sciences umbrella. As part of the Klett Group, CBS is one of the leading education providers in Germany.
