Admission requirements

Please submit the following application documents for the Master's degree in International Management (MBA) at CBS International Business School. Please note that documents for English-language programmes must be submitted in English, and documents for German-language programmes must be submitted in German.

Curriculum vitae (CV)

Copies of academic certificates
Please include copies of your previous academic qualifications (Bachelor, Diploma, Magister) as well as proof of your academic achievements (Academic Transcript of Records).

For international applicants:
A copy of your identity card and, if applicable, your residence permit.

Proof of English language skills
For admission to an English-language programme, you need to provide proof of your English skills. This proof can be submitted by the start of the programme. Accepted certificates are:

TOEFL certificate (minimum 92 points, internet-based)
IELTS (minimum band 6.5)
Cambridge English Advanced (CAE)
BEC Higher as well as comparable language certificates (not older than two years)

Alternatively, you can also provide proof by having spent at least six months in an English-speaking country (internship, studies, employment), which will be assessed individually. In addition, we offer a free online English test.

Optional:
Proof of a semester abroad and/or internship or relevant professional experience.

Details

The MBA International Management is an intensive full-time course ideally suited for graduates of non-business-related degree programmes who wish to expand their knowledge. CBS offers a comprehensive programme taught in English to optimally prepare students for international careers. The target group comprises graduates from non-business disciplines who want to acquire solid business administration knowledge, but also anyone wishing to refresh their specific expertise.

The study programme extends over four semesters and comprises 120 ECTS credits. In the first semester, students acquire fundamental management knowledge, followed by a second semester focusing on global management strategies and corporate finance. The third semester emphasises the practical application of the acquired knowledge, while the majority of the fourth semester is dedicated to writing the master’s thesis.

Special features of the course are its distinctly international orientation and practical approach, which, through the opportunity to participate in business projects and simulations, promotes both the theoretical and practical skills of the students.

Graduates of the programme have excellent employment opportunities in various areas such as consulting, project management, marketing and sales, as well as in international companies across different industries.
