Social change increasingly affects central aspects of individuality concerning sexuality as well as relationship and life forms. With this development, the demand for qualified professionals in education, social and health services with a focus on sexual pedagogy is also growing, who acquire specific competencies and appropriate qualifications as part of their training.
The aim of the Master's programme in Sexual Science at MSH is, on the one hand, to enable students to provide sexual pedagogical counselling and support in various (psycho-)social fields of work and, on the other hand, to impart knowledge for the scientific further development and theory formation in sexual science. The main focus areas of the Master's programme in Sexual Science lie in the scientific examination of physiological, psychological and sociocultural aspects of sexuality as well as in the development of counselling services.
The Master's programme in Sexual Science is designed as an interdisciplinary course and is therefore specifically aimed at graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in various fields (psychology, educational sciences, social work / social pedagogy and pedagogy).
