You can be admitted to the Bachelor of Mechatronics (B.Eng.) if at least one of the following qualifications is met:
- General university entrance qualification (Abitur), subject-related university entrance qualification or entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences
- University entrance qualification recognised as equivalent by the Hessian Ministry of Science and Art
- Passed university entrance examination (HZP) after completing 2 performance semesters at WBH for applicants without classical university entrance qualification
- Qualified vocational qualification: qualification as master craftsman or master craftswoman, specialist or manager, state-certified technician (access also possible without further examination)
- Professional qualification: at least three years of completed vocational training with a grade of 2.5 or better and at least a secondary school certificate and two years of full-time employment
Already completed academic and non-academic achievements (for example technician qualifications, IHK advanced training certificates) can be recognised upon application, which can shorten the study period and reduce fees.
You need solid basic mathematical knowledge for a successful start – any missing prior knowledge can be refreshed through the optional mathematics preparatory course offered by WBH.

The course is modular and comprises 7 semesters (42 months, 210 ECTS). You complete the modules in a flexible order, tailored to your prior knowledge and learning pace. You can start your studies at any time.
