The Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) is a state-recognised private university of applied sciences. Students must meet at least the formal admission requirements that would be necessary for enrolment in a comparable course at a public university. This usually includes the general or specialised university entrance qualification. Professional practitioners with corresponding qualifications may also be admitted. Possible admission routes are:
