In order to begin university studies at Hochschule Fresenius, applicants must prove the qualification required for the course of study (university entrance qualification). This is demonstrated by:
- the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), which entitles you to study at all universities and in all federal states,
- or the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, which entitles you to study in the relevant subject area and in the federal states listed on the certificate,
- or the advanced technical college entrance qualification, which entitles you to study at a university of applied sciences or in a tiered degree programme at a university in the federal states listed on the certificate.
Alternatively, you can also be admitted without the Abitur or advanced technical college entrance qualification. The following is required for studying without Abitur:
- You have passed a master craftsman’s examination.
- Or you have a degree in accordance with the ordinance on the admission of professionally qualified persons to universities in the state of Hesse, i.e. either a qualification from a professional advanced training course of at least 400 hours, the completion of a technical college or a vocational or administrative academy, or a passed final examination in a state-recognised vocational training occupation with at least three years of subsequent professional experience and passing a separate university entrance examination.
- For foreign qualifications, equivalence must be proven for admission.

Course Content and Specialisations
This bachelor's degree programme combines intensive language training in English and additional elective foreign languages with intercultural competence and classic management. The programme enables you to use information as a basis for targeted management decisions and to develop design recommendations within and for companies. You will study in Heidelberg, the university town in Baden-Württemberg.
The curriculum includes the following modules:
- 1st semester: Fundamentals of Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, English for International Business & Study I, Project Management and Presentation Techniques, Introduction to Management Models
- 2nd semester: Quantitative Methods, Market Research and Statistics, Basics of Business Law, English for International Business & Study II, Academic Working, Business Ethics
- 3rd semester: Basics of Economics, Managing People in Organizations, English for International Business & Study III, Research Methods, Digital Marketing, Finance and Investment Management
- 4th semester: Data Science and Data Analytics, English for International Business & Study IV, International Accounting, Foreign Trade, International Law, Management Accounting
- 5th semester: Entrepreneurship & Business Development, Practical Project, Elective Specialisation
- 6th semester: Digital Transformation, International Corporate Strategy, International Marketing Strategy, Business Dissertation
During your studies, you will also deepen your knowledge in exciting specialisations, such as Digital and Social Media Management, Finance and Controlling, Organisational Psychology, Corporate Communication and Agency Management, or Personnel Psychology.
Incidentally, if you wish, you can integrate a practical semester into your study programme. If you opt for a practical semester, the standard period of study extends to 7 semesters, and you will earn a total of 210 ECTS credits during your studies.
