Admission Requirements
In order to begin a university degree programme at Hochschule Fresenius, applicants must prove that they have the necessary qualification for the degree programme (university entrance qualification). This is proven by:
- general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), which entitles you to study at all universities and in all federal states,
- or the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, which entitles you to study in the corresponding subject area and in the federal states listed in the certificate,
- or the advanced technical college entrance qualification, which entitles you to study at a university of applied sciences or in a structured degree programme at a university in the federal states listed in the certificate.
Alternatively, you can also be admitted without Abitur or advanced technical college entrance qualification, provided the following requirements for study without Abitur are met:
- You have passed a master craftsman’s examination.
- Or you have a qualification according to the regulation on access for professionally qualified persons to universities in the state of Hesse, i.e. either a qualification from a professional advanced training of at least 400 hours, the graduation from a technical school or a vocational or administrative academy, or a passed final examination in a state-recognised training occupation followed by at least three years of professional experience and passing a separate university entrance examination.
- For foreign qualifications, equivalence must be proven for admission.

Course Content and Specialisations
This Bachelor's degree programme systematically imparts knowledge in business administration, corporate management and foreign languages. From the start, you focus your studies on one of five possible specialisations, for example Corporate Communication and Agency Management.
The curriculum includes the following modules:
- 1st semester: Fundamentals of Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, English for International Business & Study I, Project Management and Presentation Techniques, Introduction to Event Management
- 2nd semester: Quantitative Methods, Market Research and Statistics, Basics of Business Law, English for International Business & Study II, Academic Research, Sponsoring and Fundraising in Event Management
- 3rd semester: Basics of Economics, Marketing People in Organizations, English for International Business & Study III, Research Methods, Event and Tourism Marketing, Digitalisation in Event Management
- 4th semester: Data Science and Data Analytics, English for International Business & Study IV, Event Operations & Hospitality Management, Event Staging, Event and Tourism Cases, Law for Event Managers (Event Law)
- 5th semester: Entrepreneurship & Business Development, Practical Project, Elective Focus
- 6th semester: Digital Transformation, International Corporate Strategy, International Marketing Strategy, Business Dissertation
During your studies, you will also deepen your knowledge in exciting key areas, for example Applied Event and Tourism Management, Corporate Communication and Agency Management, Film and Video Production, Sports Marketing or Market, Advertising and Media Psychology.
By the way, if you wish, you can integrate a work placement semester into your course of study. If you choose a work placement semester, the standard period of study is extended to 7 semesters and you will earn a total of 210 ECTS credits during your studies.
