Who is the International Business Management degree suitable for?
The Bachelor's degree programme in International Business Management is aimed at school leavers with the Allgemeine Hochschulreife (university entrance qualification) as well as internationally oriented school graduates who aspire to a career in international management. It is particularly intended for individuals who wish to work in international companies, consulting, marketing, project management or globally operating human resources departments. The on-site degree programme is also suitable for those interested in an English-language course with a strong practical focus and integrated stays abroad.
Admission: What do you need to meet?
For admission, you need the Allgemeine Hochschulreife, Fachhochschulreife or an equivalent internationally recognised qualification (e.g. International Baccalaureate). Applicants with an international school leaving certificate must prove their German or English skills by means of recognised language certificates. For participation in the English-language degree programme, proof of sufficient English skills is required, usually through a certificate such as TOEFL or IELTS. Depending on the location and your prior education, a letter of motivation and an interview may also be part of the selection process.
You should have a strong interest in business administration and international contexts. Important personal requirements are intercultural openness, confident English skills in speaking and writing, analytical thinking and enjoyment of teamwork. Communication skills, initiative and willingness to undertake international stays are advantageous for the degree programme and later professional entry in an international environment. Experience with digital tools or initial stays abroad are helpful but not mandatory.
