Admission requirements
The prerequisite for admission is a state-recognised university degree obtained domestically from a national or international university. Admission to the degree programme is granted to those who meet the formal requirements and successfully pass the selection procedure.
For the master’s degree, which also includes the entitlement to pursue a doctorate, a total of 300 credit points are required. Since the master’s programme comprises only 90 credit points, applicants who bring an equivalent of fewer than 210 credit points from their initial degree must make up the missing credit points before graduating with the master’s degree. Admission in this case is only granted on the condition that the missing credit points are proven before the completion of the master’s studies.

Germany and the world are facing a decade of unprecedented transformation. Challenges such as decarbonisation, the digital revolution, demographic change and the resulting shortage of skilled and managerial personnel require highly qualified HR specialists who can confidently act as business partners across multiple fields.
The fascinating areas of HR management and psychology are two sides of the same coin. One deals with the business-related and extrinsically motivating aspects, while the other focuses on the intrinsically motivating factors that drive people on an individual and organisational level. During your studies, you will have the opportunity to thoroughly explore both disciplines, apply what you have learned to real situations, and create genuine added value for your future career.
Important and urgent topics include, for example, change management, shortage of skilled workers, (self-)leadership of heterogeneous teams, competence acquisition, employee health, sustainability in human resource management throughout the entire employee lifecycle, and new work.
All of this is influenced by pervasive digitalisation. In the HR sector, buzzwords include, for example, people analytics, artificial intelligence and e-learning. In addition, there are the significant areas of human-machine interaction and labour law.
The special part-time format of the degree course creates synergies between hands-on practice and a Master of Science standard. The contents of the degree programme are designed in close coordination with business practice, including the corporate partners at NORDAKADEMIE. They feature a specialisation that is also forecast to be in particular demand in companies as well as public organisations in the future.
Also noteworthy are the master projects, which form a fixed element of the curriculum. In these projects, students are to work in teams to apply scientific methods and findings to a specific task. The focus of the project work is on application-oriented tasks that, due to their innovative content and/or interdisciplinarity, are suitable for developing scientific competence and personality-enhancing skills, such as self-organised teamwork.
An interdisciplinary practical project enables the acquisition of interface skills and practical experience.
