- ECTS credit points: If 210 ECTS from the first degree are already available, a shortening by one semester is possible. If fewer ECTS are available, the programme is usually designed for four semesters.
- Dual and classic application: There is a choice between a classic on-campus programme and a dual, practice-integrated study option. For the dual study programme, a workplace at a partner company is additionally required. The university supports this placement.

The language of instruction varies depending on the location: in Berlin and Frankfurt instruction is in English, in Cologne bilingual in German and English.
- On-campus or dual study: You can choose between the classic full-time study and the dual, practice-integrated study, where you work simultaneously in a partner company and complete practical company projects.
- Recognition of prior achievements: If you have 210 ECTS credits from your previous studies, a shortening by one semester is possible.
