Admission requirements

Admission to the Business Administration degree programme is granted to those who meet one of the following requirements:

• General higher education entrance qualification
• Advanced technical college entrance qualification
• Passed master craftsman examination
• Intermediate school leaving certificate (at least Realschulabschluss) and a qualified certificate of a recognised vocational training of at least 3 years, with an average/overall or final grade of 2.5 or better (if these grades are not specified, the arithmetic mean of the individual subject grades applies),
• Completion of a professional advanced training course of at least 400 hours of instruction, a technical school or a vocational or administrative academy*
• Final examination in a state-recognised vocational training profession followed by at least 2 years of relevant professional experience related to the degree programme and passing a separate university entrance examination*

*According to the ordinance on access for professionally qualified persons to universities in the state of Hesse.

Further information on specific qualifications is gladly provided upon request. Applicants who do not meet the aforementioned requirements can initially attend the programme as guest auditors if admission to the HZB examination is available.

For foreign qualifications, equivalence must be proven for admission.

Details

The Bachelor's degree programme "Business Administration" offers you the ideal starting position to work as a specialist in the private sector, public institutions, or in associations. Without skills in the field of business administration, companies, small enterprises, as well as clubs and institutions cannot survive in the market. Growing globalisation, but also increasing competition and cost pressure, require a strategic response from companies. They need well-trained specialists to draw conclusions from economic key figures, in the area of purchasing and sales, and for the optimisation of operational processes.

With the Bachelor's degree programme "Business Administration" (B.A.) as a 6-semester on-campus course, you are excellently equipped for a wide professional field. With your analytical understanding of numbers and the competence to observe, evaluate, and improve operational processes, you are able to work in any industry. Potential employers range from companies in the financial sector such as banks and insurance companies, through industrial enterprises and public authorities, to management consulting, the hotel industry, or healthcare. You are not limited to your home country but have all the requirements for an international career.

During your studies, you can also choose your personal, career-oriented specialisation to further deepen your skills.

Course Structure
At DIPLOMA University, you have the option to study the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration as an online programme, as distance learning on-site, or as an on-campus course.

The on-campus study option is available at our DIPLOMA University locations in Leipzig and Bad Sooden-Allendorf and usually takes six semesters to complete. In the classic university of applied sciences programme, you attend lectures, seminars, and exercises on campus from Monday to Friday. The total learning workload comprises 180 ECTS (Credit Points).

Costs, Registration & Start of Studies
The on-campus programme at DIPLOMA University starts once a year in the winter semester (October).
