Details
The dual degree programme Business Administration combines a practice-oriented business studies course with simultaneous systematic training within a company. Relevant specialised knowledge is imparted for the individual areas of business administration and applied during the practical phases in various departments of the company. By choosing a corresponding specialisation in the third year of study, students are optimally prepared for the requirements of companies in the respective sectors and functions.
Organisation & Structure of Studies
The degree programme comprises six semesters. Each semester consists of a theoretical phase at the university (on average 20 weeks per year) and a practical phase in the company (on average 32 weeks per year).
Students acquire practice-oriented business knowledge and have the opportunity for function- or sector-oriented specialisation. A particular focus throughout the programme lies on methodological competence. In the first two years of study, fundamental business knowledge is taught and supplemented with methods modules, Business English and law. In the second and third years, selected core subjects are covered in depth (Marketing Management, Finance, Strategic Management, Cost and Performance Accounting and Controllership). The third year is characterised by extensive options (specialisations, elective modules, excursions) and the bachelor thesis.
