- a secondary school leaving certificate (at least Realschulabschluss) and a successfully completed, at least 3-year recognized vocational training with an average grade of 2.5 or better
Access is also possible with foreign qualifications, provided that equivalence for university admission is demonstrated. If you do not yet fully meet the formal requirements, participation as a guest listener is possible within the scope of an HZB examination (university entrance qualification).
No specific professional knowledge in design or computer science is mandatory for the part-time study. However, basic computer skills and a willingness to use digital tools are advantageous.

- 100% Online Organisation: All learning content, live online seminars, and tutorials are accessible via the online campus, independent of location
- Self-Study: You work independently with modern, didactically prepared study materials
- Virtual Study Groups: Regular exchange and group work in the digital space
- Examinations: Optionally completely online or at one of the nationwide DIPLOMA examination centres
- Live Presence: Online seminars usually take place on Saturdays, additional voluntary evening tutorials possible
- Practical Phase: An integrative practical project (internship) is mandatory
- Bachelor's Thesis with colloquium at the end of the programme – also possible to complete online
