This is how your studies proceed
The Bachelor’s degree in Media Informatics at FH Wedel is structured in a practice-oriented way and usually lasts seven semesters. You can complete the programme full-time, part-time (on request) or as a dual study programme.
- 1st to 3rd semester: Acquisition of fundamental knowledge in computer science, mathematics and media production. First practical projects such as film productions or animations are independently realised.
- 4th to 6th semester: Specialisation in areas such as web applications, computer graphics, data science or interactive design. Team projects, seminars and a work placement provide intensive practical experience. An optional semester abroad at one of the partner universities is possible.
- 7th semester: Internship at a company of your choice and writing of the bachelor's thesis, often in cooperation with the internship company. Completion with the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.).
- Dual study programme: Alternation between theoretical phases at FH Wedel and practical blocks in the partner company. The company covers your tuition fees.
