How is the course structured?
The programme is designed for seven semesters in a full-time model (part-time and dual study are possible). You start with the basics of computer science and business administration, focus more intensively on application possibilities from the third semester, and from the fifth semester onwards you can set individual specialisations – either in the field of computer science (e.g. artificial intelligence, databases, software quality, IT security) or in business (e.g. production management, logistics, service management).
- 1st–3rd semester: basic training in computer science, mathematics and business administration
- 3rd/4th semester: application skills, first practice-oriented projects, possible student work placement
- 5th semester: choice of specialisation (computer science or business)
- 6th semester: optional semester abroad possible
- 7th semester: work placement and bachelor’s thesis
In the dual model, you alternate regularly between university and company and gain practical experience during your studies.
