Details
A positive development: the health awareness of Germans is increasing – and with it the demand for advice and coaching on medical topics. Companies have also recognised the signs of the times. Sports programmes are now as much a part of the offerings for employees as training on stress reduction, risk minimisation, work-life balance or healthy nutrition.
In the Bachelor's degree course in Health Psychology & Medical Education, you will acquire the skills to develop and implement such programmes and initiatives yourself – whether as a freelance coach, in public health institutions or in the corporate health management of a company. Since the later profession requires not only communication skills but also a lot of medical expertise and organisational competence, the course of study is multifaceted. In addition to the basics of psychology and education, you will deal with medical theory, pathology and forms of therapy, but also with the peculiarities of the German healthcare system, ethical questions as well as aspects of quality management and prevention. Upon completion of the degree, you will be qualified for a versatile and future-proof activity in the growing healthcare sector.
