Admission Requirements

In order to enroll in a university course at Hochschule Fresenius, applicants must demonstrate the necessary qualification for the course of study (university entrance qualification). This is demonstrated by:
- the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), which entitles you to study at all universities and in all federal states,
- or the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, which entitles you to study in the corresponding subject area and in the federal states indicated in the certificate,
- or the vocational baccalaureate diploma, which entitles you to study at a university of applied sciences or in a consecutive study program at a university in the federal states indicated in the certificate.
Alternatively, you can also be admitted without an Abitur or vocational baccalaureate diploma. Provided that the following is true for studies without Abitur:
- You have passed a master craftsman examination.
- Or you have a qualification in accordance with the Regulation on access for professionally qualified persons to universities in the state of Hesse, either a qualification from a career advancement training of at least 400 hours, a qualification from a technical school or a professional or administrative academy, or a passed final examination in a state-recognized vocational training with at least three years of subsequent professional experience and passing a separate university entrance examination.
- For foreign qualifications, equivalence must be proven for admission.

Study Contents and Specializations
Clinical psychology, health psychology, media psychology, and personnel psychology are just a few examples of the diverse range of topics covered. In addition to professional training, interdisciplinary skills are cultivated and honed, such as communication skills, scientific work, presentation techniques, and statistical and methodological competencies.
By choosing two specializations in the fourth and fifth semesters, additional qualification beyond the clinical psychology realm is possible: in health psychology, health economics, or business psychology.
By studying at Fresenius University, students opt for a contemporary education in small study groups with intensive support from academic staff and other university facilities.

- 1st Semester: Introduction to psychology, its history and research methods; Statistics I, General Psychology I, Biological Psychology
- 2nd Semester: Empirical scientific work, scientific work and research methods, practice in computer-aided data analysis, Statistics II, General Psychology II, Social Psychology
- 3rd Semester: Fundamentals of test theory and psychological diagnostics, developmental psychology, personality and differential psychology, introduction to clinical psychology and psychotherapy
- 4th Semester: Diagnostic procedures, educational and educational psychology, specialization subject
- 5th Semester: Empirical-experimental practicum, introduction to work, organizational, and business psychology, specialization subject
