Good prerequisites for starting a degree in Industrial Engineering Construction and Real Estate DUAL are – in addition to an affinity for real estate projects – organisational talent, commercial thinking, technical understanding and entrepreneurial calculation, structured, careful work and social as well as communication skills. Persuading in a team, with investors and clients, verbally in presentations and in writing in exposés, plays a central role in professional life. Mathematical fundamentals are applied in technical and commercial calculations as well as in complex financing, return and amortisation models. There is no admission restriction (NC).

Industrial Engineering for Construction and Real Estate DUAL is a seven-semester degree programme leading to the Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng.) qualification, which produces management generalists who are highly qualified in both business administration and technical aspects for the lifecycle of real estate.

The degree programme is an advancement of the phased-out Construction and Real Estate Management programme and addresses the challenges of the real estate industry, particularly with regard to digitalisation and internationalisation. Another advantage: For the first time, prospective industrial engineers can choose from two of the following specialisations later in the course of their studies:

  • International Real Estate Markets and Management Methods
  • Property Valuation
  • Sales Management
  • Building Information Modelling 
  • Fundamentals of Building Construction and Building Physics
