What requirements must you meet for the distance learning course?

Formal admission requirements:

  • General university entrance qualification (Abitur) or advanced technical college entrance qualification: Direct access to the course is possible in all federal states or in the respective field of study.
  • Subject-specific university entrance qualification: Access to the course in the designated field of the qualification.
  • Without Abitur: At least 2 years of completed vocational training and at least 2 years of full-time employment in a professionally related field. In addition, a subject-specific university entrance examination must be passed in this case.
  • Advanced training (e.g. master craftsman, technician, specialist, business economist) with at least 400 hours: This qualification also entitles the student to commence the course, usually supplemented by a subject-related university entrance examination.
  • Intermediate school leaving certificate plus at least 3 years of completed vocational training with a grade of 2.5 or better; if the grade is worse, a subject-specific university entrance examination is additionally required.

For borderline cases, an individual case assessment is carried out, in which certain minimum achievements (ECTS) must be demonstrated in the first year of study.
