What formal entry requirements apply to the programme?
To be admitted to the Master’s programme in Business Psychology (M.Sc.) at FOM University you need a first university degree (Bachelor, Diploma, Magister or State Examination). Based on your prior qualifications, the following criteria must be met:
- A degree with at least 40 ECTS credits in the field of business economics entitles you to direct entry.
- Graduates of other disciplines are admitted if they can prove at least 1.5 years of relevant professional experience related to business psychology; in this case, participation in the preparatory course in Business Administration is recommended.
- Current employment is mandatory.
Degrees from accredited vocational academies are also recognised. If you are currently not employed, an individual assessment by the FOM Study Advisory Service is possible.
You should have an interest in psychological questions within business contexts and a willingness to engage in academic work. Good self-organisation, resilience and communication skills are advantageous, as the programme is completed alongside employment and often includes team and project work. You benefit from two different study models: the Campus Study+ at one of the nationwide locations or the Digital Live Study with location-independent participation in live lectures. During your studies, you can flexibly switch between these formats each semester or take modules individually in digital form.

- Classes in the evenings and on Saturdays, sometimes on weekdays depending on the time model
- Semester breaks in August as well as from mid to late February
- 120 ECTS credits spread across four academic semesters and the final thesis

Your tuition fees are tax-deductible. It is possible to have prior achievements recognised, thereby reducing costs and duration of study. In case of financial difficulties, FOM supports with individual payment arrangements. During an approved leave semester, no tuition fees are due.
