The course is suitable for everyone interested in human behaviour, communication, and scientific methods, and who want to develop a broad range of skills without committing early to a specific psychological focus.
What Formal Requirements Do You Need to Fulfil?
The following entry routes apply for admission to the Bachelor’s Psychology degree at Euro-FH:
- You can enrol directly with a general university entrance qualification, subject-specific university entrance qualification, or advanced technical college entrance qualification.
- Admission is also possible without A-levels if you have passed a subject-specific advanced training examination (e.g. master craftsman’s exam, specialist business administrator).
- Additionally, you can be admitted with a completed vocational training of at least two years and at least three years of professional experience, as well as passing a separate university entrance examination.
There is no Numerus Clausus (NC). You can start your studies at any time.
You should have a strong interest in psychological issues and scientific work. Analytical thinking, self-motivation, and the ability to organise yourself independently are particularly important in distance learning. Experience with digital learning formats and openness to interdisciplinary perspectives will make starting easier for you. Communication skills, empathy, and enjoyment in working with people are also helpful, as practical projects and group work are part of the course.

In the Bachelor’s distance learning programme in Psychology (B.Sc.) at the European Distance Learning University Hamburg (Euro-FH), you will receive a broad and practice-oriented education based on the recommendations of the German Psychological Society (DGPs). The programme imparts fundamental and applied content from various fields of psychology:
- Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy: Scientific foundations on mental disorders, diagnostics and intervention options.
- Educational Psychology: Psychological aspects of learning and developmental processes as well as support options in the educational sector.
- Work, Organisational and Economic Psychology: Analysis of working conditions, team processes and influencing factors on behaviour in companies.

Here you can choose between eight subject fields, for example Change Management, qualitative research, politics and communication, family in transition, law, marketing, digital work or personnel and communication.
The programme includes a supervised practical project, during which you get to know typical fields of activity practically under the guidance of experienced psychologists and strengthen your application skills. The curriculum is complemented by scientific research methods, interdisciplinary skills as well as reflection on ethical and social aspects of psychological work.
Course Structure
The programme is available as a flexible distance learning course or as a structured online evening study option. Both variants are specifically tailored to the needs of working professionals and allow enrolment at any time without fixed registration deadlines.
- Duration: Choose between 36 months (full-time) or 48 months (part-time); a free extension of 18 or 24 months is possible.
- Examinations: Take exams flexibly every month online or at one of 10 exam locations throughout Germany.
- Seminars: Participation in six two-day presence or online seminars to deepen practical content and enable exchange.
- Multimedia materials: Study booklets are available digitally, in print and as audio; supplemented by webinars, videos, podcasts and use of the AI learning companion KILEA for individual learning.
The programme allows you to flexibly adapt exams, learning phases and practical work to your personal life situation. Especially for working professionals and people with family commitments a smooth course with maximum planning flexibility is ensured.

With the Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, you qualify for a variety of entry-level positions and activities in the field of psychology. The degree opens up the following career paths, among others:

The online campus provides access to all teaching and learning materials, communication and organisation tools. Exams can be taken flexibly online or at ten exam centres nationwide. Presence seminars are mostly offered online, with some sessions available on site upon request.
Costs and Financing
The tuition fees amount to a total of €13,680 for a study duration of 48 months, which corresponds to €285 per month. In the full-time variant (36 months), the monthly rate is higher; alternatively, individual payment models are possible starting from €209 per month.
- Free extension of study duration by up to 50% (18 or 24 months) without additional costs is possible.
- Time and cost savings through crediting of previously completed achievements (up to 50% possible).
