Details
The Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Politics, and Social Thought at Bard College Berlin, A Liberal Arts University, offers an interdisciplinary study in the humanities and social sciences. Students have the opportunity to take seminars in political and literary studies, economics, philosophy, art history, film studies, and applied arts. Classes are held in small seminars and discussion groups to create an interactive learning environment.
The programme is designed for students who wish to develop a deeper understanding of the interconnections between economics, politics, and social thought. With a focus on critical thinking and open discussions, students are encouraged to analyse complex social issues and develop innovative solutions.
Students benefit from a close mentoring relationship as the ratio of professors to students is one to seven. This allows for individual guidance and advice in designing the study plan. Instructors with extensive teaching experience at renowned universities such as Harvard, Princeton, and Cambridge bring a diverse perspective to the teaching.
The programme is conducted in English and attracts students from over 60 different countries. The intercultural diversity creates a unique learning environment that promotes global perspectives and discussions.
