The classic training programme to become a fully qualified lawyer consists of a university degree with the final first legal examination (formerly the first state examination), a two-year practical training period and the second legal examination at the end. Only once you have passed the second legal examination are you qualified as a fully qualified lawyer and can take full advantage of all the professional opportunities open to a lawyer - e.g. in the civil service as a public prosecutor or judge.
The law degree programme is divided into a total of eight semesters with a lecture period of 15 weeks each. The structure includes a foundation course, a main course, a period abroad and a specialisation course. The programme begins in the winter or summer semester of each year. After just three years, you will obtain your first professionally qualifying degree with the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.). You will also have the opportunity to gain additional business qualifications.
At EBS Universität, you will complete a fully-fledged, traditional law degree programme with a clear focus on business law.
Three academic degrees in less than five years:
- First legal examination, including state examination
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)
- Master in Business (M.A.) or Master of Science (M.Sc.)
With the unique combination of law and business studies, you have the best prerequisites as an entrepreneurial lawyer to be successful in the global business world.
