Admission Requirements for the Continuing Education Degree Programme
Entitlement to study
a) Admission to this Master’s degree programme requires a Bachelor's degree or another higher education qualification according to the Higher Education Act of the state of NRW with a minimum grade of “3.0” as well as proof of at least 45 ECTS credits in business administration and/or media or communication science modules.
(b) The corresponding proof can also be provided by entrance tests or within the scope of the general recognition procedures for externally acquired achievements and competencies gained outside higher education. The entrance test may be oral or written and is subject to compensation for disadvantages according to the Master’s examination regulations.
(c) For the continuing education Master’s programme “Digital Business Management”, a qualified professional experience in the digital economy of not less than one year must also be demonstrated.
If the previous undergraduate degree was completed with 180 CP, the relevant professional experience of at least one year to be proven can be credited with an additional 30 CP. Applicants must convincingly outline in their application letter with regard to which of the central qualification objectives of the degree programme their prior professional experience should be recognised as preparatory. If necessary, the university can hold a clarification interview with the applicant. The recognition is decided in each individual case by the President of the university.
