Proof of English language skills
Since some courses in the Master's programme Technical Management are conducted exclusively in English, good English language skills are essential. School-level knowledge is not sufficient. For admission to the Master's programme, proof of English language skills at level B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is mandatory. The following proofs are acceptable:
Please note that you must submit the relevant documents together with your application documents before commencing your studies! Without proof, admission to the programme cannot be granted.
Proof can be provided via generally recognised test procedures, such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, Cambridge certificates, or similar.
If you do not yet have the appropriate proof of English skills, you can still acquire a DAAD certificate recognised by the university at the RFH in the short term, which is offered as part of the university's internal additional qualification courses. Additional courses will be set up if required. You also have the option to waive the course and only take the exam.
Details
The Master's programme builds upon Bachelor's degree courses in the Faculty of Engineering. Students deepen the theoretical fundamentals acquired during their Bachelor's studies and receive enhanced training in the application of scientific methods. They are enabled to abstract problems and to achieve goal-oriented and systematic creative solutions that meet requirements using engineering methods. The practical application of the acquired specialised knowledge plays a major role in the programme.
The course is offered in four specialisations, which are oriented towards the specific requirements of various professional fields and build upon the corresponding Bachelor's degree courses: Automation Technology, Production Management, Product Development, and Sales Management.
In addition to in-depth expert knowledge in their chosen specialisation, students acquire a broad portfolio of methodological and social skills necessary for assuming personnel and leadership responsibilities.
This structure is based on the conviction that a solid professional qualification in at least one special field is necessary to gain the required acceptance as a manager in the medium term.
Qualification objectives

The deepening of professional competencies in the selected specialisation and the scientific orientation of the curriculum enable graduates in their specialised discipline to pursue a subsequent doctoral degree.
