Details

More and more people use naturopathic healing methods alongside conventional medicine and consult a naturopath or rely on alternative advice from experienced pharmacies. The reasons for this are varied. On the one hand, there is already a shortage of skilled workers in medicine; especially in rural areas, there is a massive lack of doctors. On the other hand, the willingness of the population to apply traditional and natural therapy approaches is also increasing. Not least because more and more people are affected by chronic illnesses or psychological problems. The fact that life expectancy is rising also contributes to people seeking alternative paths to health.

The (online) distance learning course “Naturopathy and Complementary Healing Methods” (B.Sc.) offers you a first academic degree and thus excellent career opportunities for entry into the growing market of alternative and holistic therapeutic methods. The degree programme combines conventional medical with naturopathic fundamentals and includes scientific-methodological content with clinical studies, so that you can, for example, also work as a study assistant conducting scientifically validated studies in the naturopathic and conventional medical fields.

You will gain deep insights into the content-related, subject-methodological and applied-practical areas of naturopathic healing methods. You will acquire academic knowledge in essential basic subjects such as medicine, statistics and methodological competencies. Application-related knowledge of diagnosis occupies a large part of the curriculum.

During your studies, you can also choose your personal, professionally oriented focus to further deepen your skills.

The study specialisations in the bachelor’s degree course in Naturopathy and Complementary Healing Methods are:
• Homeopathy
• Traditional Chinese Medicine
• European Naturopathic Procedures
