Admission requirements
You need the General University Entrance Qualification, the Subject-Specific University Entrance Qualification, or the University of Applied Sciences Entrance Qualification. Alternatively, you can qualify through vocational training in conjunction with the Higher Education Entrance Qualification Regulation. An education qualification recognized as equivalent in accordance with the resolutions of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs is also accepted. The Bachelor's programme in Molecular Biomedicine offers a solid education in the natural sciences and biomedicine. It is aimed at students who aspire to a science-based career in medicine and are interested in researching molecular biological processes. Students acquire extensive knowledge in chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology, as well as biomedical fundamentals and modern laboratory techniques. Particular emphasis is placed on the ability to develop modern diagnostic and therapeutic methods that can be applied in research, diagnostic laboratories, or the pharmaceutical industry. The practical training includes project work in laboratories and institutions at home and abroad. Graduates of this programme can work in various fields such as research, development, diagnostics, pharmacy, and health management. The programme can be completed full-time or part-time and offers two study focuses: Molecular Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine.
