- With Abitur\/High School Diploma:
- General university entrance qualification (Abitur)
- Technical university entrance qualification (Fachabitur)
- Subject-specific university entrance qualification
- Without Abitur with Advanced Training:
- Completed job-related advanced training (e.g. specialist, business administrator, technician, master, accountant)
- Without Abitur and with Vocational Training:
- At least two years of vocational training and up to three years of work experience in the relevant field (usually after a trial course in accordance with state higher education laws §58 paragraph 3)
- Practice partner in the dual model:
- Presence of a practical company that accompanies your practical training and covers the tuition fees. EHiP supports you in finding a practice partner.
There is no numerus clausus (NC). You can start the course at any time.

The course is designed as a dual distance learning model, combining flexible online teaching with regular practical phases in the company. The overview of the process:
- Start Anytime: You can start flexibly, there are no fixed semester dates.
- Online Learning via Learning Platform: Access to Web-Based Trainings, scripts, instructional videos, and online exams via the myFOCUS platform.
- Practical Phase in the Company: Employment (20-35 hours/week) with a practical partner who also covers the study costs. The university assists in finding a suitable company if desired.
- Flexible Online Exams: You take all exams and tests online and around the clock.
- Learning Format: The study contents are divided into small, sequentially structured units that can be completed alongside a job or alongside practical work.
- Support: Continuous support from Study Coaches and digital contact options with instructors.
- Duration of Studies: The program extends over 7 semesters and comprises 210 ECTS.
