The European University for Innovation and Perspective (EHIP) is a state-recognized private distance learning university in Backnang, Baden-Württemberg. It offers bachelor's degree programs in the fields of Business & Management as well as Health, Sports & Nutrition. The study program is completely digital, without semesters and can be started at any time. In addition to the traditional distance learning, a dual distance learning program is also possible. EHIP is aimed at students who are looking for a flexible, part-time study program with a focus on digital transformation and practical content.

The degree programs are practice-oriented and place special emphasis on digital transformation, technology, sustainability, and European perspectives. Students are individually supported throughout the entire study program and have access to a variety of digital learning materials.
Study Programs
EHIP offers bachelor's degree programs in two subject areas. All programs are modular based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) and usually comprise 180 ECTS credits.
Business & Management: Business Administration (B.A., with optional specializations such as European Management, Sustainability & Digitalization, Health Care Management, Sports Management, Data-Driven Marketing), International Management (B.A.), People & Culture (B.A.), Digital Learning and Educational Management (B.A.), Digital Marketing (B.A.)
Health, Sports & Nutrition: Nutritional Science (B.A.), Fitness Science (B.A.), Health Management (B.A.), Sports Management (B.A.), Fitness Training and Management (B.A.), Nutritional Counselling and Management (B.A.), Sports and Nutritional Science (B.A.)
Most study programs are also available as dual distance learning. Here, students combine theoretical knowledge with practical work in a partner company. EHIP actively supports in finding a suitable practical partner, who usually covers the tuition fees.
Costs and Financing
EHIP offers three financing models:
- Flex (€233.33 per month for 60 months)
- Balance (€270.83 per month for 48 months)
- Sprint (€333.33 per month for 36 months)
Regardless of the chosen model, the study can last up to 72 months at no additional cost. There are no enrollment, exam, or graduation fees. A four-week trial study is possible.
Various financing options are available, including Federal Training Assistance (BAföG), KfW Study Loan, scholarships, Career Advancement Scholarship, and employer funding. Study costs may also be tax deductible.
Prior educational achievements from vocational training, advanced training courses, or previous university studies can be recognized. For each recognized ECTS credit, the study time and fees are reduced by €45.
Admission Requirements
EHIP offers various ways to access studies. There is no Numerus Clausus (NC).
Admission to studies is granted for those with general qualification for university entrance (Abitur), subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (Fachabitur), as well as subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification.
Graduates of an advanced training course (specialist, business administrator, specialist clerk, master craftsman, or technician) can also be admitted directly. Prospective students without a university entrance qualification may be admitted through a trial study according to § 58 paragraph 3 LHG, if they can demonstrate completed vocational training and several years of professional experience.
Foreign school qualifications are individually reviewed. Depending on the country of origin, direct access to university may be possible or an assessment test may be required. The assessment is free of charge and non-binding.
Learning Concept: FOCUS
The learning concept FOCUS enables a fully flexible study program without the traditional semester structure. The online campus myFOCUS is the central learning platform through which students can access all learning materials, submit examination results, and communicate with teachers and fellow students. The platform is available around the clock.
EHIP provides various learning formats: study scripts, Web-Based Trainings (WBTs) with interactive exercises, instructional videos and podcasts, workbooks and supplementary articles, as well as access to an online library. Students are supported by lecturers, tutors, and central academic advising. Virtual live formats complement self-study optionally.
Quality and Accreditations
EHIP is state-recognized by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of the state of Baden-Württemberg. All study programs are program accredited and approved by the State Central Agency for Distance Learning (ZFU). The university has successfully passed the concept review by the Science Council and holds an AZAV provider accreditation. EHIP is a member of the Federal Association of Distance Learning Providers as well as the Association of Private Universities.
