Admission requirements
For admission to our Bachelor's degree programme in Communication Management, you must meet the following entry and admission requirements:
- General higher education entrance qualification, subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, or the advanced technical college entrance qualification according to § 10 BerlHG, or special access for working professionals according to § 11 BerlHG via entrance examination (in accordance with the university's entrance examination regulations)
- Possibility of further studies according to § 11 BerlHG
- University access for professionally qualified persons according to § 11 BerlHG

Those who work successfully in communication and media management operate professionally within the complex media landscape and master the rules of good communication. Whether online or offline, digital or analogue, their knowledge is in demand in marketing as well as in public relations, press departments, and social media management.
A bachelor’s degree covering everything related to professional communication and modern media management: fundamentals of management, media economics, media psychology, campaign planning, marketing, social media management, public relations, media law.
- In six semesters, you are perfectly prepared for a job in the broad field of communication and media management.
- Individual specialisation in areas such as entrepreneurship, digital transformation management, or new work and personnel management.
- Practical projects and 20 weeks in a company of your choice are included in the communication and media management bachelor’s degree.
- Modules such as Digital Public Affairs, media ethics, social skills, and business simulation offer further perspectives.
Exciting fields of work include, for example:
- media companies
- PR and advertising agencies
- the publishing industry

- corporate departments for marketing,
- corporate communications and personnel management, as well as

Study focuses:
While the first semesters teach the fundamentals of economics and management, the later stages of the course focus on applying what has been learned in professional practice. Through practical projects and a project-based course, students begin their professional entry into everyday corporate life during the practical semester. Another thematic focus is on the students’ methodological competencies and soft skills.
