Admission requirements
The following admission requirements apply for entry into the Bachelor’s degree programme in Psychology (B.Sc.):
There is no NC (numerus clausus) for studying at MSH. For us, performance, talent, motivation and discipline matter more than the grade point average on your final certificate.
The Hamburg Higher Education Act formulates the following qualification in the university entrance eligibility that leads to access eligibility:
- the general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or a comparable qualification according to §37 HmbHG
The degree programmes at MSH Medical School Hamburg are NC-free: talent, motivation and discipline count more than the grade point average on the certificate. Punctuality, good performance and commitment during the course of study, however, are of great importance.

The Bachelor's degree programme in Psychology at MSH Medical School Hamburg offers a comprehensive introduction to psychology with a strong focus on scientific methods. Students acquire knowledge in various fields of competence, including applied fields such as work and organisational psychology. The course content includes fundamentals of psychology, diagnostics, psychopathology, as well as practical professional experience in health and psychotherapeutic institutions.
As part of the programme, participants work on current psychological issues, supported by the psychotherapeutic university outpatient clinic of the MSH, which links research with clinical practice. Students of the programme can prepare for a career in prevention, healthcare, or in work and organisational psychology areas. The possibility of a subsequent Master's degree also offers the option to deepen specific competencies.
