The Bachelor's degree programme in Chemistry and Biotechnology at Constructor University is designed to provide students with both the scientific foundations and practical skills needed in the fields of Chemistry and Biotechnology. The programme enables students to understand the molecular perspective and recognise the commercial importance of the fields of Chemistry and Biotechnology. The programme is divided into different modules that delve into these areas in detail. In the first year, students learn basic and inorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and Organic Chemistry. The second year focuses on more advanced modules such as Physical Chemistry, Industrial Biotechnology, and Advanced Organic Chemistry. In the final year, there is an opportunity for specialisation through elective modules in areas such as Organometallic Chemistry, Environmental Microbiology, and Biotechnology in Action. A mandatory internship and a semester abroad in the fifth semester provide students with practical experience and a global perspective. The degree is rounded off with a research project in the sixth semester.
