Admission Requirements
This degree programme is offered in a total of 3 variants: with 60 ECTS, with 90 ECTS and with 120 ECTS. Which variant is best for you depends on your individual prerequisites and your already acquired credit points.
The following is required for admission to this master’s programme:
- You have completed your first university degree with a focus on design, art or sustainability. If you have completed a non-industry-specific degree programme, any missing knowledge can possibly be made up through bridge courses.
- If your degree comprises 240 ECTS, you can enrol in the 2-semester variant with 60 ECTS.
- If your degree comprises 220 ECTS, you can enrol in the 3-semester variant with 90 ECTS.
- If your degree comprises 180 ECTS, you can enrol in the 4-semester variant with 120 ECTS.
In addition, you must submit a portfolio for the application. All applicants go through a university-specific selection process. Our student advisory service will provide you with detailed information about the requirements and admission procedures.
Course Content and Specialisations
This master’s programme combines a scientifically analytical education with a strong practical focus and workshops with international experts. You will acquire the subject-specific and industry-specific skills to manage offline and online sales channels, for example for flagship stores, concept stores, or in mobile commerce.
The curriculum for the 60 ECTS version includes the following modules:
- 1st Semester: Brand Aesthetics, Scientific Project, Global Management, Leadership & New Work, Megatrends, Innovation & Transformation, Company Project Fashion Brand I/Company Fashion Product I
- 2nd Semester: Fashion, Technology Assessment & Business Models, Company Project Fashion Brand II/Company Fashion Product II, Specialisation
During the course of your studies, you will also deepen your knowledge in exciting elective modules, such as Fashion Product, Fashion Brand, Sales, Society.

- Fashion and Product Management, M.A.: This master’s programme builds on your already acquired knowledge in the areas of product management and purchasing. You will acquire industry-specific know-how as well as management competence and learn to deal with current market conditions in the fashion industry. The programme combines a scientifically analytical education with a strong practical focus through company collaborations and workshops with international experts.
- Sustainability in Fashion and Creative Industries, M.A.: This English-language master’s programme imparts content especially on the topics of “Sustainable Design Strategies”, “Sustainable Production” and “Sustainable Business”. You will systematically engage with sustainable design developments & trends, innovative materials, innovative technologies and marketing. The location of study is Berlin at the Campus for Fashion & Design of the AMD.
