Admission requirements

You must present a certificate of general university entrance qualification (Abitur) with a grade of at least 2 out of 6 or a good grade. Students from the EU and abroad should have an IELTS score of at least 6.0, with at least 5.5 in written form and in any other area, or an equivalent qualification. Abitur English as a main subject / advanced course with a minimum grade of 10 may be accepted.

Details

The Bachelor's degree programme in Cyber Security is a comprehensive education that prepares you for a career in the field of cybersecurity. The collaboration between the Fachhochschule des Mittelstands and the University of Gloucestershire offers you advanced international knowledge. The programme is taught in English and covers all essential areas of Cyber Security.

In the first year, you will learn Computer & Security, fundamentals of Cyber Forensics, basics of programming, Mathematics for Data Science, System Design, and Web Development. The second year includes Cryptography and Security, network design and configuration, ethical hacking and security, operating systems, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and human factors in cyberspace. In the third year, you will work in a computer technology internship, study advanced networks and security, learn research methods for dissertations. You will also write your own dissertation. Optionally, you can participate in advanced topics in technology and innovation, certification for penetration testing, Cybersecurity management, secure coding, and malware analysis.

Upon graduation, you will have various career opportunities available to you, including penetration testing, system security, information security management, digital forensic investigations, law enforcement, and civil forensic investigations.
