Admission: What Do You Need to Bring?
For the bachelor's degree in Osteopathy at Hochschule Fresenius, you need one of the following formal entrance qualifications:
- General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur)
- Subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or advanced technical college entrance qualification
- A vocational qualification recognised as equivalent (for example, master craftsman certificate, state-certified technician, or specialist)
- Vocational training with at least three years of professional experience in a recognised healthcare profession and, if applicable, a passed aptitude test (studying without Abitur according to current higher education laws)
A numerus clausus (NC) is not provided for this degree programme. Applications are accepted continuously, and the course starts each winter semester. For international applicants, proof of sufficient German language skills is required.
On a personal level, you should have a strong interest in medical contexts and scientific working methods. You are empathetic, communicative, and possess a high level of responsibility towards patients. Important qualities also include willingness to learn, ability to work in a team, a delicate touch for manual techniques, and perseverance in the demanding practical environment. Practical prior experience in healthcare or in the field of manual therapy is helpful but not mandatory.
