Admission requirements
The Health Management degree programme admits applicants who meet one of the following requirements:
• General university entrance qualification (Abitur)
• University of applied sciences entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife)
• Passed master craftsman examination
• Intermediate school leaving certificate (at least Realschulabschluss) and qualified completion of a recognised vocational training programme of at least 3 years, with an average/overall or final grade of 2.5 or better (if these grades are not indicated, the arithmetic mean of the individual subject grades applies),
• Completion of a professional advancement training course of at least 400 teaching hours, a technical school or a vocational or administration academy *
• Final examination in a state-recognised apprenticeship in the healthcare sector with subsequent professional experience of at least 2 years relevant to the degree programme and passing a separate university entrance examination *
In order to be able to engage with English technical terms and English literature during your studies, we ask you to provide evidence of appropriate English skills already acquired through qualified tests or school-based prior education or further training. Alternatively, we will be happy to assess your English skills in a conversation with a representative of the university and provide targeted advice.

Further information on specific qualifications will be gladly provided upon request. Applicants who do not meet the specified requirements may initially attend the programme as guest auditors if admission to the university entrance qualification examination (HZB) is granted.

The Bachelor's degree programme "Health Management" (B.A.) offers a solid and practice-oriented academic education as an online distance learning course. The programme is open to all interested parties who meet the corresponding admission requirements. In particular, the Bachelor’s distance learning degree is aimed at people who are already professionally active in the healthcare sector and want to improve their qualifications with a university degree. This includes, among others, specialists from the fields of nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and speech therapy, as well as people working in the medical field such as medical assistants.
The programme qualifies you for special challenges in the management of healthcare institutions. It provides you with the qualification to analyse developments, initiate new processes, and purposefully manage the implementation of innovations. You will learn theories and fundamentals to successfully face challenges in key positions and gain a comprehensive overview of the topic of health management during the course of your studies. With a successful Bachelor’s degree, you position yourself as one of the sought-after specialists in the job market.
During the course of your studies, you can also choose your personal, professionally oriented specialisation in order to further deepen your skills.

Course progression
At DIPLOMA University, you have the option to study the Bachelor’s degree in Health Management as an online course.
The online distance learning at DIPLOMA University is designed according to the "blended learning" principle. This means you work through the study materials using study guides and attend live online seminars. These usually take place on 12 to 14 Saturdays per semester – in some cases also on weekday evenings. Your exams can be taken online or at an examination centre of your choice.
Costs & Registration
The (online) distance learning programme at DIPLOMA University starts each year in the summer semester (April) and winter semester (October). The start of studies is – after individual assessment – also possible at any other time.
