Admission Requirements

  • relevant vocational training in a health-related profession (ideally professional experience)
  • relevant professional qualifying university degree (specialist science in health, nursing, medical education or -sciences, or related specialist sciences) comprising 210* ECTS credits with a minimum of 30 ECTS credits in a pedagogical subject from the fields of educational sciences, general didactics/methodology, and subject didactics*)
  • proof of professional employment
  • successful admission interview

* Applicants (m/f) with a relevant bachelor’s degree (see above) comprising 180 ECTS credits and applicants without proof of the 30 ECTS credits in educational sciences (see above) can acquire the admission requirements through scientific continuing education of the respective specialist or educational science modules in the part-time bachelor’s degree programme Health Care Education/Gesundheitspädagogik via the Institute for Continuing Education at IB Hochschule prior to the start of studies. 

Details

The part-time Master's degree programme targets two professional perspectives: a) qualification for the teaching profession at health specialist schools related to your primary profession, and school leadership; b) management of health education-oriented specialist and programme areas in private and public

institutions of health prevention, rehabilitation, and public health. In addition to developing leadership skills, you will acquire business administration and legal knowledge during your studies.
