The distance learning course B.A. International Management is aimed at all those who deal with global economic relationships and aspire to an international management career. You are particularly addressed if you appreciate maximum flexibility as a professional or if you want to start your studies without classical barriers such as NC. The course is suitable for high school graduates of all disciplines as well as for career changers with completed training or advanced training. The offer is aimed at individuals who work internationally, accompany companies in the global competition, or specialize in future topics such as sustainability and digitalization – for example in international marketing, business development, or management of international projects.
What formal and personal requirements should you bring?
There are three ways to gain admission to B.A. International Management:
- School leaving qualification: General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification.
- Advanced training (without Abitur): Qualified further education, for example as a specialist or master, business economist, specialist clerk, technician, master craftsman, or accountant.
- Vocational training with professional experience (without Abitur): At least a two-year, subject-related vocational training plus up to three years of relevant professional experience. In this case, your enrollment takes place through a trial course in accordance with LHG §58 paragraph 3.
There is no restricted admission (NC). You can enroll throughout the year, and the start of distance learning is possible at any time. Previously completed study achievements or completed vocational training may be credited upon request, thus shortening your duration of study.
Personally, you should bring the following for your studies:

- Analytical and critical thinking skills as well as independence in handling complex tasks
- English skills to use English-language teaching materials; however, a formal language certificate is not required

The study is completely online and is designed to be extremely flexible. You can start at any time and decide for yourself at what pace you work on the modules. An overview of the process:
- Course Structure: The standard period of study is 6 semesters (36 months), but the study can last flexibly up to 72 months - without additional costs.
- Digital Learning Environment: Via the online campus "myFOCUS," you have access to study scripts, web trainings, and videos around the clock.
- Individual Study Planning: After the basic modules, you flexibly put together the additional modules and specializations. You can also work on multiple modules simultaneously.
- Examination Mode: Exams are taken completely online - at any time without fixed dates or examination centers.
- Final Phase: Once you have reached 150 ECTS points, you start with the bachelor's thesis. The final phase also includes a business game and a colloquium.
- Support and Community: You are personally supported by lecturers, tutors, and study advisors. Online study groups enable exchange and networking.
- No Attendance Requirement: The study does not include attendance phases, all content and exams are to be completed independently of location.

Extending up to 72 months is possible at no additional cost. The total price includes all services - there are no additional registration or examination fees. Actions such as discounts can further reduce the costs.
Various financing options are available:
- BAföG: Eligible for funding with legal entitlement, especially for completion within a maximum of 36 months.
- KfW Study Loan: Flexible loan amounts, regardless of parents' income, repayment only after completing studies.
- Educational Funds: For example, through Deutsche Bildung AG or Brain Capital, with income-dependent repayment after completing studies.
- Employer Contribution: Companies often financially support part-time distance learning.
- Tax Deductibility: You can claim study costs as advertising expenses.
