Study concept and process

Study3: The unique study concept at Fresenius University of Applied Sciences with studynet, studymag and studycoach.

We are convinced that written examinations as a form of examination are not suitable for reflecting the competences you have actually acquired. Therefore, you will hardly ever find written examinations in the form of written examinations in this study programme. We test your learning progress during the course and online in the form of assignments, online presentations and papers or in so-called e-portfolios. For you, this means: no travelling for exams and less exam stress - and thus a fair chance of excellent performance evaluations that correspond to the actual level of knowledge and competence.

Keeping studies, work and life in balance is a major challenge. This makes support during this groundbreaking phase of your life all the more important: the backing of your family, the understanding of your company and, above all, the personal, consistently service-oriented support of your university. That is why we rely on a unique interdisciplinary coaching team of professors, lecturers and the studycoaches. Your personal studycoach is your contact person for all matters concerning your studies. Whether by phone, email or via the studynet messenger - your studycoach actively advises and supports you on your way to a successful degree. In this way, together we create the necessary balance and thus the prerequisite for you to grow steadily in your studies - and to achieve something that seemed so far away at the beginning.

Whether at home or on the road, on your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone - your campus is always with you. Our learning platform studynet is at the same time lecture hall, seminar room, campus and cafeteria. "Social learning" is the keyword: a holistic learning experience that consistently builds on dialogue in addition to the use of a variety of different media formats.

For example, with many different media formats.

For example, with many features that you are already familiar with from your usual social media platforms: Network with each other and exchange information via Messenger. Always be up to date with the Activity Board, your onlineplus timeline. And find out what you have already achieved and where you stand in your personal learning analytics. At the kick-off studycamp, at the open learningcamps and at other optional events on site, we create opportunities to deepen and expand your contacts from the world of onlineplus. In this way, you will experience an active learning community that will accompany you throughout your studies and, as alumni of Fresenius University of Applied Sciences, will continue to be a valuable network for you.

There is a method to studying at onlineplus. Structure and timing characterise the learning organisation at onlineplus, provide a clear orientation and thus differ fundamentally from conventional distance learning programmes. You start flexibly at a time determined by you and are guided via individually planned milestones through the similarly structured learning units, modules and semesters based on our study magazines, the studymags.

This allows you to learn in manageable stages that ensure a regular sense of achievement and new motivation in your studies. The study plan recommended by onlineplus gives you the flexibility of numerous customisation options, which you can individually adapt to your personal learning type, your preferred learning times and your own learning speed. In this way, you will find exactly the study programme that suits you.

At the same time, you always have full transparency: At any time, you can see your individual learning progress, i.e. what you have already achieved, where you currently stand and what exactly still lies ahead of you. The innovative and intuitive form of study thus lays the foundation for the feasibility and success of your entire online study.
