The Master's programme in Human Resources Management is aimed at graduates of economics or related degree programmes who aspire to a management or specialist career in personnel management. What admission requirements apply for the Master in Human Resources Management?

For admission, you need a bachelor's degree with at least 180 ECTS credits. Your studies must demonstrate the following subject-specific achievements:

  • at least 15 ECTS in economics
  • at least 5 ECTS in personnel management
  • at least 5 ECTS in civil law and labour law
  • at least 10 ECTS in quantitative methods (e.g. statistics, empirical social research)

If you cannot provide individual ECTS credits in these areas, it is possible to prove suitability in the form of an entrance test. The programme is offered at the locations Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Düsseldorf.

You should have an interest in strategic personnel management, labour law issues, and dealing with people. Self-organisation, communication skills and intercultural sensitivity are particularly important in the HR field.
