The Master's program in Controlling and Management (M.Sc.) at the European Distance Learning University in Hamburg is designed for professionals with relevant work experience who want to expand their knowledge in the areas of financial corporate control, leadership and performance management, financial business development, strategic corporate planning, and digital transformation.
The course provides students with a scientific and practice-oriented education for the management of companies and organizations. Topics such as financial decision-making, business process management, company valuation, enterprise resource planning (SAP), and business data analysis are the focus. Students also choose two out of seven elective modules to specialize in areas such as e-business, international accounting, risk management, or innovation management.
Participants must have a university degree and at least one year of relevant work experience. The target group includes executives who want to expand their management knowledge in the field of controlling, as well as board members and managing directors who want to deepen their business knowledge at an academic level.
The program includes the use of study materials as well as two seminars, virtual teaching formats, and face-to-face events. In addition to solid theoretical foundations, participants also gain practical insights into current management challenges to prepare them optimally for leadership roles in the field of controlling.
