The Master's degree in Business Coaching and Change Management is aimed at professionals working in the fields of personnel management, organisational development, consulting or management who wish to specifically expand their skills in change management and professional business coaching at an academic level. It is primarily addressed to specialist and managerial staff, consultants, personnel developers, as well as individuals who want to initiate and accompany change processes in companies or public institutions. The programme is also suitable for career changers from related disciplines who want to increasingly focus on leadership and transformation tasks in the future.
What formal criteria apply for admission?
To be admitted to the Master's programme, you must meet the following requirements:
- A completed, first-level university degree (Bachelor, Diploma, Magister) from a state-recognised university. Ideally, this is in a subject with psychological, business administration, educational or sociological focus.
- Graduates of other disciplines may be admitted if they submit a letter of motivation outlining their reasons for studying, goals, personal background and relevant professional experience as well as pertinent further training and continuing education.
- Proof of at least two years of relevant professional experience after the initial degree (for full-time study); alternatively, one year is sufficient if the prior initial degree was obtained part-time alongside work.
- English language skills are required, as study materials and seminars partially include English-language content.
- Admission without a first degree is possible on a case-by-case basis via the Master’s entry programme.
There are no formal admission restrictions such as a Numerus Clausus (NC).
You should have an interest in strategic corporate development and change processes. Communication skills, empathy, willingness to reflect and enjoyment of team-oriented work are as important as analytical thinking skills. Openness to various methods, experience in working with groups or teams and a willingness for continuous personal development support your success in the programme. Basic knowledge of classical and agile management methods is helpful but not a mandatory requirement.
What content and skills does the Master’s programme in Business Coaching and Change Management impart?
In the Master’s programme Business Coaching and Change Management at Euro-FH, you learn how to purposefully design, manage and accompany change processes in companies, public administrations and social organisations. The course content is interdisciplinary and combines sound business, psychological and sociological approaches with practice-oriented methods:
- Business Coaching: Methods and models of coaching, role understanding, individual and team coaching, moderation techniques, communication in change processes

- International aspects: Aspects of global management practice, with the option of participating in a two-week overseas seminar depending on the specialisation chosen
You acquire the ability to set up professional coaching processes, develop sustainable change strategies and effectively accompany social as well as economic transformation processes. At the same time, you qualify through the practice-tested content for a Business Coach certification (e.g. EASC – optionally via supervision).
How is the structure and organisation of the distance learning programme designed?
You can complete the Master’s programme flexibly via distance learning. Depending on the time model, the course normally takes 24 months (full-time) or 32 months (part-time). A free extension of the supervision period by 12 or 16 months is possible. The start of studies is possible at any time.
- Modular structure: 10 compulsory modules (105 ECTS), one Master’s thesis (15 ECTS)
- Digital self-study materials: study letters as text, e-paper, audio. Supplemented by online training, webinars, exercises and interactive content via the online campus.
- Compact seminars: five 3-day on-site seminars and one online seminar, with an additional on-site seminar or the two-week International Seminar depending on the specialisation
- Elective area with three focuses: Business Coaching, Change Management, sustainable development of society
- Individual specialisation by choosing one focus with its own seminar
- Examinations: Flexible, monthly online or at exam centres throughout Germany
- Support: Personal study support, tutors as well as an AI learning companion available around the clock
The programme is designed for working professionals and can be organised entirely digitally, with occasional on-site phases for practical exercises and networking. The seminars take place mainly online or on location according to individual choice.
