Admission requirements

  • A completed, undergraduate degree from a state-recognized university with a focus on psychological, business, pedagogical, or sociological knowledge is required.
  • All other university graduates must submit a letter of motivation outlining their study motives, goals, personal background, qualifying work experiences, as well as relevant further education and training for this course of study.
  • Applicants with leadership experience, activities in change management or coaching, as well as relevant further education and training, may also be admitted based on the letter of motivation.
  • The completion of the first university degree can be a Bachelor's/Baccalaureate, Diploma, Diploma (FH), Master, State examination or Master's degree.
  • Required minimum language skills in English (CEF: B2) must be successfully demonstrated through language tests.
  • In addition to a completed first university degree, 2 years of practical experience in the professional field are required.
  • Further admission requirements include the submission of a resume.

The Master of Arts in "Business Coaching and Change Management" at the European Distance University Hamburg is aimed at professionals in the fields of personnel management, planning, organization, and management who wish to deepen and broaden their expertise. The program provides both interdisciplinary knowledge and methodological skills in the areas of Business Coaching and Change Management.

The curriculum includes 10 mandatory modules and a Master's thesis. Students are taught through face-to-face seminars and a two-week online seminar. Admission requirements include a completed undergraduate degree from a state-recognized university and at least one year of work experience.

The program includes teaching methods such as face-to-face and online seminars, role plays, coaching conversations, discussions, and case studies. The focus is on linking theory and practice.
