The postgraduate course for educators and curative educators: With us, you will study social pedagogy and management alongside your job. You will achieve your bachelor's degree in just 24 months, and you will even receive state recognition as a social pedagogue. With the part-time course at the University of Applied Sciences (FHM), all doors in the field of education and/or social work are open to you. You will have comprehensive professional and personal skills that will enable you to take on a range of specialist and management tasks.
Did you know? With the Bachelor of Social Pedagogy & Management plus a subsequent Master of Vocational Education (distance learning), you can even switch careers to become a teacher.

The part-time postgraduate course B.A. Social Pedagogy & Management is ideal for you if you are in full-time employment and would like to complete a course of study at the same time. With us, you will earn an academic bachelor's degree in social pedagogy & management within two years while remaining fully available to your employer during traditional working hours. This study model allows you to balance your job, family and studies in terms of time.
Your state recognition as a social pedagogue
As a manager, leading responsibly means ensuring professionally qualified education, training or assistance, treating clients and relatives in a customer-oriented manner, deploying and promoting employees professionally, assuming economic responsibility and convincingly implementing the values and mission statement of the respective institution.
In addition to acquiring the academic bachelor's degree, you also have the opportunity to obtain state recognition as a social pedagogue. According to the Social Professions Recognition Act (SobAG) of North Rhine-Westphalia, additional requirements must be met for this.
