The combination of psychological research, practical application and interdisciplinary perspectives is at the core of the programme.
The programme is divided into several modules, which include the theoretical foundations of clinical and psychosocial practice, specialised topics in psychotherapeutic interventions as well as international counselling, research methods and legal-ethical frameworks. Topics such as cultural psychology, conflict theories, intercultural communication and specific disorder patterns are systematically covered.
Particular emphasis is placed on practice-oriented teaching of diagnostic and counselling skills, group dynamics, as well as anamnesis and psychosocial assessment. Students complete an accompanying internship and independently develop a research project that culminates in a Master’s thesis.
