Admission requirements
You must provide evidence of university entrance qualifications. This can be achieved through one of the following criteria:
- German Abitur, Austrian Matura, Berufsreifeprüfung or an equivalent (also foreign) qualification,
- a subject-specific university entrance exam,
- a subject-specific university admission exam according to § 12 of the examination regulations of the Faculty of Psychology.
You must have sufficient language skills. The courses are predominantly held in German. For the German-language programme, German language skills at least at level B2 (CEFR) must be proven. In addition, English language skills at least at level B2 (CEFR) are required, as a large part of the academic literature is available in English.

Students gain comprehensive knowledge in empirical research, methodology, and theoretical analysis of psychological issues. Practical skills are covered through independent projects and practical modules. The study programme is completed with the production of a bachelor thesis and a final oral examination.
With the international designation "Bachelor of Science", graduates qualify for further Master's programmes as well as for psychologically relevant professional fields such as educational or business consulting, healthcare, or research. Moreover, targeted preparation for Master's studies in areas such as Clinical Psychology, Business Psychology, or Psychotherapy Science is possible. A special feature of the programme is the close integration of science and practice from the first semester onwards, as well as a wide range of choices allowing for individual emphasis.
Teaching is carried out by an interdisciplinary team of lecturers. The Berlin location offers an attractive network of cooperation opportunities with other disciplines and practice partners. The programme is conducted on a full-time basis over six semesters with a total of 180 ECTS credits. Completion of this programme and further Master's studies grant access to regulated professional fields in the field of psychology.
